She Started This

I wouldn't say that I'm ambitious about potty training. I definitely wasn't planning to start this early. But Lorien started informing us when she has to go. So we bought a potty. And she uses it. Not consistently, but at least every other day.

Here, she is reading "The Wheels on the Bus," which she calls "Party Time." She also likes to read her "Happy Book" when she's on the potty.

And yes, I know. Someday she will hate me for these pictures.

  1. :o) It is so much fun being a mom and getting to torture your kids! :o) I am not surprised. It is common for little girls to be ready between 15-18 months of age. Don't let it pass by!!! Get her trained while she is ready and willing, 'cause if she isn't successful this go round she will not be willing to try again till 3 and it will become a battle of the wills. So proud of her - she is getting to be such a big girl!

  2. I second the above comment. Both of mine boys were potty trained before 2. There's a small window of opportunity, and if you don't jump on it - they get too old and realize they have a choice in the matter. Teach 'em now, and stop paying for diapers!
